Family Block is collection of small block weavings inspired by my family's old photographs. I was interested in duplicating the photographs within the constraints of a woven structure. Some of the pieces were woven using eight harnesses, while others were made on a small frame loom. The weft and the warp are a mixture of wools, linens, cottons, and twine of various thickenesses.
